ABOUT

Bruce Ray Kassab
Founder and Owner

Growing up on both the East Coast and West Coast during the 1960's and 70's I was part of the social changes that brought about the emergence of folk-rock, psychedelic music, bluegrass-folk revival music and country-rock groups. I learned to play the guitar, banjo, mandolin, penny whistle, bass, bagpipes, harmonica, clarinet, sax, drums and dobro. In the process of moving 33 times and starting countless combos and garage bands, I began to realize that producing music and recording my musical family was my calling.
In 1994 I moved to Texas from California via Oregon and met my future wife Jamie Shipman on stage in Mesquite. We were blessed with three girls, and between them and other extended family members I have been kept busy producing, recording, performing and organizing live shows across Texas. Some of the outfits I have represented, produced, managed and recorded include: the Bluegrass Theologians, Double Portion Band, Panoply, The Stringsations, and the K3 Sisters Band.
